Our first contest is your “Favoirte Raw Foods” recipe. If you have a favorite recipe, be sure to send it to us to be entered in our contest. Raw food recipes don’t need to be complicated or only from experienced cooks. If your favorite raw food is a large salad with your special dressing, or maybe it’s a plate of different fresh fruits with a honey drizzle – the ONLY REQUIREMENT is that all the ingredients be raw.
The prize for our first contest is a NEW family size Boston Cream Pie from Pure Market Express. If you’ve never eaten raw foods, this will be a wonderful experience for you! The foods from Pure Market Express are gluten-free and dairy-free!! They are certified gluten-free and all of their products are made without dairy (inlcuding their ice cream and cream pies!)
I have eaten many of their products, but my all-time favorite is still the Chocolate Cheesecake. It’s smooth, velvety, chocolatey and decadent! And it’s all RAW! I love it. If you’re looking for something away from the sweet aisle, I can recommend their Cheddar Spread and their Good as Gouda. They both taste like the cheese they’re named after. The Cheddar Spread on an apple slice is a tasty snack. Spread Good as Gouda on a gluten-free cracker and you have yourself a combination crunchy & creamy mouth full of wonderful!

Another company that offers gluten-free products is Watkins. I remember when I was a kid, the “Watkins man” would come to the door about once a month. My mother always looked forward to his visit so she could replenish the products she had used up since his last visit. Little did I know that, years later, I would become a “Watkins man”! 🙂 Many of the Watkins spices, dip mixes and seasoning blends are gluten-free. They also offer a line of home care, cleaning products that are natraul and plant-based. Many of these items are also gluten-free and just as important – chemical free! One of the best products that my mother used, I use and my daughter uses for her children is the Watkins Petro-Carbo Salve – my children renamed it Grandma’s Magic Medicine. My mother used it on just about everything. It’s great for cuts, scrapes, blisters and slivers – something most children are never without!
